At Crown Marble & Granite, outstanding craftsmanship and environmental responsibility should go hand in hand. Based in Toronto’s Design District, our mission has always been to deliver exceptional quality, not only in the countertops we produce but in how we produce them. From the beginning, we’ve embedded sustainability into our shop operations—making long-term, responsible choices that benefit our customers and the environment.
Advanced Technology: Breton Trinity at the Core of Our Process
Precision and efficiency are central to our work, and the newest addition to our facility, the Breton Trinity, takes both to the next level. This advanced CNC saw jet system combines traditional saw cutting with waterjet precision, allowing our team to switch between cutting modes without repositioning the slab. The result? Cleaner cuts, less waste, and improved material yield.

Designed for high-volume production, the Breton Trinity’s innovative features—including dual waterjet nozzles, vacuum lifters, bridge-mounted cameras, and an integrated label printer—ensure consistent accuracy and speed, even with complex designs. This significant performance step complements our broader vision for efficient, environmentally responsible fabrication.
Long-Term Water Conservation: Built-In Recycling from Day One
From the very start of our operations, Crown Marble & Granite installed a custom-designed closed-loop water recycling system—long before sustainability became an industry trend. This system continues to serve as the backbone of our environmentally safe production process.

Unlike conventional setups that waste thousands of litres daily, our facility reclaims up to 98% of all technical water used in cutting, polishing, and cleaning. This protects a vital natural resource and ensures our shop remains clean, safe, and efficient.
Our water conservation system:
- Was designed and implemented at the inception of production
- Reduces freshwater dependency and eliminates wastewater discharge
- Supports consistent machine performance and a cleaner shop environment
Slurry Management: Responsible Waste Removal
Fine stone dust and slurry are inevitable in any stone fabrication process. At Crown, we’ve always treated this byproduct with the same care and attention as any raw material. Our integrated filtration and removal systems capture and isolate over 25 tons of cut and polish slurry annually.

Rather than allowing this waste to build up or enter the local ecosystem, it is carefully collected and removed through approved environmental disposal methods—keeping our operations clean and our impact minimal.
Our Ongoing Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability isn’t a feature we added later—it’s part of the foundation Crown Marble & Granite was built on. From the moment our shop opened, we decided to invest in more intelligent systems and long-term solutions.
Here’s what our approach looks like today:
- Breton Trinity CNC saw jet delivers high-precision results with reduced material waste
- Water recycling system installed from the beginning—continues to reuse up to 98% of technical water
- Over 25 tons of slurry waste are safely captured and removed annually
- Ongoing reduction of water, energy, and raw material usage across production
